One of the Safest Ways to Get to School - Los Angeles Unified is offering bus transportation to all students!*

Eligibility: Live over 1 mile from elementary school or 2 miles from secondary school.

Hello! This is Principal Marcial from Dolores Street Elementary School with a very important announcement. The first day of school is almost here! School starts on Wednesday, August 12 and we are beyond excited to have your student in attendance for the 2026-2027 academic year. We hope that your student’s summer break was a time for resting and resetting. Our school has a very fun week long celebration planned for our first week back. We look forward to seeing your student and are here to support each and every one of our Dolores Street Elementary School families. The Household Income Form (HIF) is part of LAUSD's annual campaign to collect crucial information from students' families. Its primary purpose is to identify students who may be eligible for various state and federal programs. This identification directly influences your school's Title I ranking and Targeted Student Population (TSP) funding, which are vital for supporting school programs and increasing local school funding.

The submission deadline for completed HIFs is October 31, 2026

School attendance is fundamental to students' academic success. The goal of LAUSD and our school is for students' to achieve excellent attendance. We need your support to help your student be successful in school. Each day students are absent, they miss critical instructional time. Attending school daily and on time helps students feel better about school—and themselves. Help your student strive for excellent attendance this year! Thank you!
